Judgement

IGNATIUS IGWE AGUBE, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal challenges the judgment of the Benue State High Court delivered by the Honourable Justice W.I. Kpochi of the Makurdi Judicial Division on the 21st day of September, 2020 whereof the learned trial Judge held amongst others, at page 192 lines 1-13 of the Record of Appeal thus:

“The Plaintiff is therefore entitled to the balance of the Bill of Charges he submitted to the Defendants, in the sum of Forty-Five Million Naira (N45,000,000.00) only and I so order.

On the whole, I find merit in the Plaintiff’s case and this inexorably leads me to enter judgment in his favour in the sum of Forty-Five Million Naira (N45,000,000.00) only and hereby order the Defendants jointly and severally to pay the above sum to the Plaintiff for a worker is entitled to his wages.

I also order for payment of 10% post-Judgment interest on the judgment sum until same is finally paid.
