A.A PRODUCTION LTD. V. TRANSCANTINENTAL FILM & 2 ORS

The plaintiff in this matter claims against the defendants the sum of US$30,000 or its equivalent in Ghana Cedis being outstanding amount of money due and owing on the contract for the production of the film. “Punctured Hope”.

The defendants filed a joint statement of defence and denied plaintiff claim. The 1st defendant then counterclaims for

(i) US$22,000.00 representing monies paid to the plaintiff as part of the total budget of US$112,055.00

(ii) US$25,053.88 that was paid by 1st defendant to the plaintiff in good faith and in excess of the budget of US$112,055.00

(iii) US$50,000 damages to compensate for loss of business opportunities.

(iv) Interest on all the amounts being claimed.

(v) An order directed at plaintiff to deliver to 1st defendant financial statements for the years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
