J U D G M E N T
The Petitioner and the Respondent were married on the 12th day of May, 2012 at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly under the Marriage Ordinance (Cap 127) (1951Rev) after their customary marriage rites a week earlier. They cohabited at Asylum Down, Accra. The marriage did not produce an issue. The Petitioner filed the petition on 21st of May, 2014 praying the court for the following reliefs:
a. Dissolution of the marriage
b. That the Respondent is not entitled to financial provision.
c. Such further or other reliefs as this Honourable court deems fit.
The Respondent filed an Answer on the 4th day of June, 2014 in which he denied the material particulars. He cross-petitioned as follows:
a. Dissolution of the marriage between the parties.
b. That the Petitioner be ordered to leave the matrimonial home at Asylum Down forthwith, or in alternative rent a place for the Respondent.
