TSAMIYA JCA (Delivering the Lead Judgment): In the High Court of Kwara State, the trial court, holden at Ilorin, the plaintiff/ appellant in his amended statement of claim took action against the defendant/respondent as follows:

A declaration that the family of late Salihu Oraki Agara by native law and custom of Oroki is the only family entitled to produce and appoint Ba’ale of Oroki-Oja community.

An order of this honourable court declaring the purported turbaning of the defendant as Ba’ale Oroki- Oja as null, void and of no historical antecedent and against the principle of custom and tradition of the Oroki-Oja community. A declaration that the claimant is the proper person to be appointed as Ba’ale of Oroki-Oja community.
