MOHAMMED AMBI-USI DANJUMA, J.C.A. (Delivering the Lead Judgment): This appeal is brought against the judgment of the High Court of Kano State in Suit No. K/633/2021 delivered on 16-12-2024. 

The Appellant, before the trial Court, claimed against the Respondent as follows: 

1. A declaration that the plaintiff is no longer indebted to the Defendant or whosoever having liquidated all his indebtedness in respect of the loan collected during his period of employment. 

2. A declaration that the Defendant has woefully failed to discharge its contractual obligation to the plaintiff as a result of which the plaintiff was made to suffer untold hardship, psychological trauma, disgrace, humiliation, sleepless nights, and deprivation of not only his lawful earning but a simple right to a decent family life. 3. A declaration that the continuous act of holding on to the plaintiff's title document is not only illegal and unlawful but a violation of his right to own and acquire immobile property.
