YARGATA BYENCHIT NIMPAR, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the Judgment of the Federal High Court delivered on the 30th day of September, 2014 wherein HONOURABLE JUSTICE IBRAHIM N. BUBA found the Appellant guilty, convicted and sentenced him to varying terms of imprisonment which were to run consecutively. The Appellant dissatisfied with the conviction and sentence filed a Notice of Appeal dated 23rd December, 2014, on the same day which set out 2 grounds of appeal. The Appellant sought the following reliefs:

To allow the appeal, set aside the judgment of the Court below convicting the appellant for the offences under the Terrorism (Prevention?Amendment) Act,2013 and discharge and acquit the Appellant.

a. Alternatively, to set aside the term of consecutive sentence passed on the Appellant and replace same with a term of concurrent sentence and reduce the total term of imprisonment to 20 years.
