<p><strong><u>ABBA BELLO MOHAMMED, JCA (Delivering the Leading Judgment): </u></strong>This is an Appeal against the judgment of the National Industrial Court, Abuja Division (the trial court), delivered on the 27th of March, 2019. The Appellants who were claimants, instituted an action at the trial court vide Amended General Form of Complaint filed on 29th June, 2017 claiming for the following reliefs against the Respondents who were the Defendants:</p><p style="text-align: justify">(i)  A DECLARATION that the Claimants are entitled to payment of pension from the 1st Defendant.</p><p style="text-align: justify">(ii) A DECLARATION that the decision of the Defendants to stop payment of pensions to the Claimants is unlawful, null and void.</p><p style="text-align: justify">(iii)  AN ORDER directing the Defendants to resume the payment of pension to the Claimants forthwith.</p><p style="text-align: justify">(iv) The sum of N10,000,000.00 (Ten Million Naira) only being general damages for the hardship, severe mental anguish and embarrassment occasioned the Claimants and their families as a result of the Defendants failure and or refusal to pay their pe…</p>
