NONYEREM OKORONKWO, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): The appeal in these proceedings is against the judgment of Honourable Justice Mobolaji A. Ojo of the Ogun State High Court at Ota delivered on 30th May 2013 by which the appellant Godwin Nwakolo Asia was convicted and sentenced to death by hanging. The appellant lodged his Notice of Appeal at the registry at the lower Court on 18th July 2013 on the omnibus ground which was supplanted by an amended Notice of Appeal filed in this Court on 26/9/17 raising new grounds 2, 3, 4, and 5 herewith reproduced.

GROUND NO. 2

The learned trial judge erred in law when he held that I found the evidence of PW2 very cogent, reliable and satisfactory on the issue of how the deceased was stabbed when the evidence of PW2 before the Court was contradictory, a deliberate falsehood, and uncorroborated by any other evidence.
