JUDGMENT 

Plaintiffs’ case 

The plaintiffs describe themselves as the descendants of the late Jacob Addo  Vanderpuye and they instituted this action seeking the following reliefs from the  court: 

i. A declaration that the land described in paragraph 6 of the statement of  claim and the building thereon which was unlawfully demolished by the 1st defendant is a property of the estate of the late Jacob Addo Vanderpuye. 

ii. A declaration that the conveyance by Iris Vanderpuye or the Vanderpuye  family to the 1st defendant is null and void. 

iii. An order to annul the land title certificate of the 1st defendant.  iv. An order directed at the 2nd defendant to expunge from its records the land  title certificate of the 1st defendant, 

v. Recovery of possession. 

vi. An order directed at the 1st defendant to pay general damages to the  plaintiffs. 

vii. Costs, including legal fees.

viii. An order directed at the 1st defendant to pay special damages assessed at  GH₵1,313,400.00.
