JUDGMENT

GYAESAYOR J.A:-

This is an appeal against the decision of the High Court presided over by Justice James B. Benson dated 24th April 2008 dissolving the marriage contracted between the parties on 3rd August 2002. That ruling, the subject of the appeal contains certain consequential order amongst which are:-

1. That the respondent pay lump sum compensation of 7,500 cedis to the petitioner 

2. Rent a two (2) bedroom accommodation for the petitioner. Rent should be paid by respondent for two (2) years.  The accommodation should be in a decent environment.

3. The respondent shall have custody of the children with effect from 30th July 2009 after leave to that effect is granted by the court.

The defendant appellant (hereinafter called defendant) not happy with the decision of the court filed an appeal complaining of the whole ruling.  The grounds of appeal accompanying the original notice of appeal was subsequently amended with leave of the court and filed on 24th June 2011.
