ESSIEN J (DELIVERING THE RULING): The defendants/applicant by a motion on notice dated 30th July, 2017 sought.
An order staying further proceedings in suit No NICN/EN/02/2015 between Dr. Brain Vincent Ikejiaku v. The Veritas University Nigeria pending at the National Industrial Court Enugu until the hearing and determination of the interlocutory appeal No CA/C/522/2016 against the ruling delivered on the said suit by A. Ibrahim J. on 31st Oct. 2016.
The application is supported by a 16 paragraph Affidavit and a written address of counsel. Annexed to the affidavit is Exhibit A, the record of proceedings of this court and Exhibit B the ruling appealed against and Exhibit C is the record of appeal.
In response the claimant counsel filed a written address in opposition to the stay of proceedings on the 14th July, 2017.
