Judgement

STEPHEN JONAH ADAH, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal is against the Ruling of the Akwa Ibom State High Court, Uyo in Suit No. HU/MISC.141/2016 delivered on 17th day of October, 2016 by Pius Idiong, J.

The Respondent as the Applicant before the Court below filed on the 5th day of May, 2016 a motion ex-parte.

The Court below, on the 24th May, 2016 issued Garnishee Order Nisi to be served on the Appellant and other banks that were joined as Garnishees in the case, for the satisfaction of the Judgment Debt of N2,050,000 (Two Million and Fifty Thousand Naira) only, awarded in favour of the 1st Respondent in Suit No. HU/FHR.276/2014 and the sum of N100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) Only, being the estimated cost of the said Garnishee proceedings.

Sequel to the said Order nisi, all the ten Garnishees filed their affidavits to show cause why the said Order nisi should not be made absolute. The 1st Respondent did not have any objection to the Court below discharging theā€¦
