JUDGEMENT 

By a Petition filed on the 15th day of July 2016, the Petitioner is praying the court for the dissolution of the marriage under the Marriage Ordinance (Cap 127) celebrated between the parties on the 7th day of August 2008 at the Office of the Principal Registrar of the  Marriages, Accra and any other Orders that this Honourable Court  may deem fit.  

It is the petitioner’s case that the parties have not lived as  husband and wife for almost six years now since the petitioner  travelled back to Canada in 2010 and that the parties apart from  having communication problems, have not had any sexual relations  for the past 6 years. All attempts by friends, members of their  respective families to resolve their differences have proven futile. 

At the trial, the Petitioner tendered a marriage certificate  which was admitted in evidence as Exhibit ‘A’. She testified on oath  that she has been ordinarily resident in Canada since the year 2001.
