ABUBAKAR MUAZU LAMIDO, J.C.A.  (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the ruling of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt Judicial Division delivered on 26th February 2018 by Oshomah, J. The Appellant/1st Defendant was arraigned along with four others before the trial Court on a 5 count charge of conspiracy to obtain money by false pretence, obtaining money by false pretence, forgery and Uttering contrary to Sections 8(b), 1(1)(a) of the Advance Fee fraud and Other Related Offences Act and Section 1 (2) (c) of the Miscellaneous Offences Act. The charges against the Appellant/1st Defendant read as follows:
