ITA GEORGE MBABA, J.C.A. (Delivering the Lead Ruling): Applicant, Federal Republic of Nigeria, brought this application on 9/7/2014, seeking leave to appeal, as an interested party, against the decision of the High Court of Abia State, Aba Judicial Division, in Suit No. A/326/2005, between Emmanuel Alioha (SP) V. Chief J.D. Maduako and 9 Ors, delivered by Hon. Justice O.A. Otisi (as she then was) delivered on 22nd March, 2011.

Applicant also sought extension of time to appeal as an interested party and extension of time to file Notice of Appeal against the said decision. The Motion was supported by affidavit of 19 paragraphs, with 5 Exhibit ? A to E, listed as follows:
