MUHAMMED MADUGU HALIRU V. FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA

SANKEY JCA (Delivering the Lead Ruling): Muhammed Madugu Haliru, in a motion on notice dated 19 May 2006 and filed the same date, seeks the followingreliefs from this court:

Extension of time within which to seek leave to appeal againstthe ruling of High Court 8, Ilorin presided over by Honourable Justice A. O. Bamigbola delivered on 28 March 2006 in case No. KWS/ICPC/l/2004.

Leave to appeal against the ruling of 28 March 2006 delivered by Honourable Justice A. O. Bamigbola of High Court of Ilorin case No. KWS/ICPC/l/2004. Extension of time within whichto appeal against the said ruling delivered on 28 March 2006. An order deeming the attached notice of appeal as properly filed and served upon payment of the necessary fees.

An order staying the proceedings of the lower trial court in case No. KWS/ICPC/1/2004 pending the hearing and determination of this appeal.

And for any such or other orders as this honourable court may deem fit to make in the circumstances.
