GUMEL JCA (Delivering the Lead Ruling): This rulingis in respect of motion on notice brought by an interested party/applicant. The motion was dated and filed on 5 November 2007. It was brought pursuant to section 243(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, Order 7, rules 1, 2 and 7 of the Court of Appeal Act, 2004 and under the inherent jurisdiction of this court. It seeks for the following reliefs:-

An order of this honourable court grantingleave tothe applicant (Alhaji K.T. Turaki SAN) to appeal as a party interested against the decision of Kebbi State National Assembly/ Governorship and Legislative Houses Election Tribunal in petition No. KB/EPT/GOV/1/2007, delivered on 20 October 2007.
