MELFORD BULUS V. THE STATE

(Delivering the Lead Judgment): This appeal is against the judgment of the High Court of Adamawa State holden at Yola, Adamawa State, (hereinafter referred to as the Court below) CORAM: MUSA USMAN, J., delivered on 29th day of March, 2023 wherein the Court below found the Appellant guilty of the offences charged in Case No.:HC/ADSY/18C/2021, convicted and sentenced accordingly. The Appellant stood trial for the twin offences of armed robbery contrary to Section 287 (1) of the Penal Code Law of Adamawa State and punishable under 289 (2) (c) of the same law and attempt to commit culpable homicide punishable under Section 201 (2) of the Penal Code Law of Adamawa State, 2018. He was sentenced to 10 years in ten (10) years imprisonment. (See pages 90-91 of the record of appeal).
