FABIYI JCA (Delivering the Lead Judgment): This is an appeal against the judgment delivered by Okor J, on 10th February, 1999 while sitting at the High Court of Justice, Port Harcourt, Rivers State of Nigeria. The learned trial Judge dismissed the appellants’ claim from the respondent for compulsory acquisition of their land. The claims of appellants, as couched in paragraph 14 of their statement of claim as extant on pages 6-7 of the transcript record of appeal, read as follows:- “14.
