(Delivering the Leading Judgment): The appeal pertains to the ruling delivered by the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos (the Court below) whereby it set aside the re-constituted caretaker committee of the National Executive Committee of the Nigerian Ports Authority Pensioners Welfare Association (NPAPWA) and suo motu appointed and/or directed the Deputy Chief Registrar (Litigation) of the Court below to be in charge of and/or take over central and command of the NPAPWA pending the determination of the substantive suit including appeal, if any.
Sketchily, the 1st-10th respondents sued the appellants at the Court below challenging the election of the appellants as the national executive council of the NPAPWA.
