OKON EFRETI ABANG, J.C.A. (Delivering the Lead Judgment): This appeal is against the decision of the Federal High Court, Abuja Judicial Division Coram Ekwo J. dated 22/1/2025 wherein the trial Court ordered final forfeiture of the sum of N1,582,000.000.00 to the Federal Government of Nigeria. Dissatisfied with the said decision, the appellant appealed to this Court. The appellant herein was the 2nd Respondent, the 1st Respondent the applicant and the 2nd Respondent herein was the 1st Respondent at the trial Court.
The Background facts:
The 1st Respondent herein received an intelligence report bordering on Criminal Conspiracy, Criminal breach of trust, bribery and money laundering against the appellant and the 2nd Respondent.
