ABBA BELLO MOHAMMED, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): Before the trial Court, the 1st Respondent herein, as Claimant, took up a Writ of Summons against Appellant and the 2nd to 5th Respondents, as Defendants, in which he challenged the nomination, appointment and installation of the Appellant as the Maye of Ago-Amodu town and sought for the seven declaratory and other reliefs stated in his Statement of Claim found at page 16 of the Record of Appeal. The contention of the 1st Respondent was that the Chieftaincy of Maye of Ago-Amodu town, a minor Chieftaincy in Saki Local Government Area of Oyo State, is exclusively for the male descendants of Late Olanipekun Akano who was the first Maye of Ago-Amodu and the founder of the Maye Chieftaincy Family.
