IYIZOBA JCA (Delivering the Lead Judgment): This is an appealagainst the judgment of the National/State Legislative Houses Elections Tribunal sitting at Ado Ekiti, in petition No. EPT/EK/SEN/03/15, delivered on 30 September 2015. The 1st appellant herein Amb. Gbenga Olofin was the petitioner in the trial tribunal. The 1st respondent, Hon. Fatimat Olufunke Raji Rasaki was also the 1st respondent in the trial tribunal. The1st appellant was the candidate of the 2nd appellant at the National Assembly elections conducted on 28 March 2015 in Ekiti Central Senatorial District of Ekiti State. The 1st and 2nd appellants contested alongside several candidates, including candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), The Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) and Social Democratic Party (SDP).
