JUDGMENT: 

The parties to this Petition were married on 9th February 2013 at the Trinity  Presbyterian Church of Ghana Emmanuel congregation, Accra under the Marriages Act 1884 – 1985 (CAP 127). They have no issue of the marriage.  The Petitioner filed this Petition against the Respondent on the ground that the marriage has broken down beyond reconciliation. By the said Petition, she  seeks the following reliefs: 

a. That the said marriage be dissolved  

b. That the Respondent be made to pay the Petitioner’s legal fees. 

c. That the Respondent be ordered to pay a lump sum of GHC 20,000 as settlement to the Petitioner to assuage and compensate her for the pain, suffering, humiliation and waste of her time during the prime of her life.
