JUDGMENT

ASUMAN-ADU, J.

On 11th December, 2009 the Plaintiff issued out Writ of Summons against the Defendant for the following reliefs:

1. An order to compel the Defendant to pay reasonable compensation for the injury caused to Plaintiff;

2. An order to compel the Defendant to pay for all medical expenses incurred by Plaintiff in treating the injury he sustained in the course of his work;

3. An order for Defendant to continue to pay the regular salary of Plaintiff until he is declared fit by Doctors to resume his work; and

4. General damages for pain, injury and loss of cosmetic beauty.

In the accompanying Statement of Claim, the Plaintiff avers that he is a steel bender of the Defendant Company. The Defendant is a firm involved in a road construction on the Tetteh Quarshie to Apenkwa road in Accra. The Plaintiff further avers that he got injured in the course of his work with the Defendant Company on 20th December, 2009 when a metal framework fell unto his right hand.
