AMALEBOBA, J.

The Petitioner and Respondent were married in Accra under the Marriage Ordinance 1884-1985 (Cap 127), on 20th December 2007 at the Ebenezer Methodist Chapel, Accra. The Marriage which was celebrated under license Number AMA 8182/2007 was evidenced by Marriage certificate No MMC  19/2007. 

The husband – Petitioner issued this Petition against the wife – Respondent, alleging adultery and unreasonable behavior, and seeking an order for the dissolution of the marriage and for any relief the Court may deem just on the  ground that the marriage has broken down beyond reconciliation.

The Petitioner caused the Petition to be served on the Respondent who neither  entered appearance nor filed an Answer to same. The Petitioner proceeded to file a notice to set the suit down for trial, and though the said notice was served on Respondent together with hearing notice, she failed to attend Court.  The suit was fixed for hearing, and hearing notice was again served on the  Responde…
