AN ACT to establish a Council to regulate the practice of traditional medicine, to register practitioners and licence practices, to regulate the preparation and sale of herbal, medicines and to provide for related matters.

Establishment and Functions of the Traditional Medicine Practice Council

1. Establishment of the Council

(1)There is established by this Act a body corporate to be known as the Traditional Medicine Practice Council.
(2)The Council shall have perpetual succession, a common seal and may sue and be sued in its own name.
(3)The Council may for the performance of its functions acquire and hold movable and immovable property and may enter into a contract or any other transaction.
