IN exercise of the powers conferred on the Provisional National Defence Council Secretary responsible for Local Government by section 2 of the Local Government Law, 1988 (P.N.D.C.L. 207), and with the prior approval of the Council, this Instrument is made this 22nd day of November, 1988.

1. Establishment of Assembly.

There is hereby established a District Assembly to be known as the Cape Coast District Assembly (hereinafter referred to as the "Assembly") for the area specified in the First Schedule to this Instrument.
