AN Act of Parliament to provide for the training, registration and licensing of nutritionists and dieticians; to provide for the regulation of the standards, and practice of the profession; to ensure their effective participation in matters relating to nutrition and dietetics, and for connected purposes

Part I – PRELIMINARY

1. Short title and commencement

This Act may be cited as the Nutritionists and Dieticians Act, 2007.

2. Interpretation

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—“approved” means passed as sufficient and adequate by the Council or other body legally empowered to declare persons and processes fit and proper;“article” includes —(a)any food, nutrient or food supplements and any labelling or advertising materials in respect thereof; and(b)anything used for the preparation, preservat…
