Part I – PRELIMINARY

1. Citation

These Regulations may be cited as the Teachers Service Commission Code of Regulations for Teachers.

2. Application

This Code except as otherwise provided shall apply to all registered teachers and every teacher will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted the provisions of this code.

3. Interpretation

In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires—"absenteeism" means where a teacher is absent from duty or from a place of work without leave or other lawful cause;"Act" means the Teachers Service Commission Act, 2012 (Cap. 212);"agent" means any person or body appointed by the Commission in accordance with section 20 of the Act;"allowance" means a monetary comp…
