An Act to Establish the Federal High Court as a High Court with certains special powers and to provide for all other matters connected therewith.

Part I – The Constitution of the Federal High Court

1. Establishment of the Federal High Court

(1)There is hereby established a High Court of justice which shall be styled “Federal High Court “(in this Act referred to as “the Court”).
(2)The Court shall consist of the following-(a)the Chief Judge, who shall have overall control and supervision of the administration of the Court; and(b)seventy Judges of the Federal High Court.
(3)The Court shall be a superior court of record and, save as otherwise provided by law, shall have all the powers of the High Court of any of the State in the Federation.
