Part I ā€“ ESTABLISHMENT, STRUCTURE AND FUNCTIONS OF THE NIGERIA IMMIGRATION SERVICE AND THE APPOINTMENT AND Duties OF IMMIGRATION OFFICERS

1. Establishment of Nigeria Immigration Service

There is established the Nigeria Immigration Service (in this Act referred to as "the Service") which shall be a body corporate with power to sue and be sued.

2. General duties of the Immigration Service

The Service shall be responsible for(a)the control of persons entering or leaving Nigeria :(b)issuance of travel documents, including Nigerian passports, to bonafide Nigerians within and outside Nigeria ;(c)issuance of residence pā€¦
