An Act to provide for the establishment of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun; and for related matters.

Part I – ESTABLISHMENT, CONSTITUTION AND FUNCTIONS OF THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES, EFFURUN

(1)There is established the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (in this referred to as ‘‘the University’’).

(2)The University:

(a)shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal;

(b)may sue or be sued in its corporate name.

(3)The University shall be a training institution for the development of middle and high-level manpower in the oil and gas sector.
