AN ACT TO REPEAL THE NIGERIAN LAW REFORM COMMISSION ACT, CAP N118, LAWS OF THE FEDERATION OF NIGERIA, 2004 AND ENACT THE NIGERIAN LAW REFORM COMMISSION ACT, 2022, TO FACILITATE THE EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMMISSION’S LAW REFORM PROPOSALS AND ENHANCE ITS PERFORMANCE ; AND FOR RELATED MATTERS.ENACTED by the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria—

1. Establishment of the Commission.

(1)There is established Nigerian Law Reform Commission (in this Act referred to as “the Commission”).
(2)The Commission shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal and may hold, acquire and dispose of any property or interest in property, movable and immovable.
