In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 15 of the Fire Service Act Cap. F29 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I, Lt Gen Abdi lrahman B. Dambazal (rtd), the Honourable Minister of Interior, make the following Regulations

Part I – Objective and Application

1. Objective

The objectives of these Regulations are to(a)prevent uncontrolled fires in our environment, especially our markets, public and private buildings and structures and reduce the incidence of loss of lives and property;(b)enhance response capabilities of the Fire Services and strengthen the regulatory and revenue generation potentials of government as it relates to the distribution and maintenance of fire protection equipment; and(c)promote inter-agency collaboration in the distribution and maintenance of fire protection eq…
