AN ACT to make provision for the prevention of abuse of the World Health Organisation’s official seal, emblem and name.

1. Short Title

This Act may be cited as the World Health Organisation (Protection) Act 1958.

2. Improper use of the Organisation’s emblem

A person, without the authority of the Minister responsible for Health, shall not use for a purpose(a)the design in the Schedule which is the official seal and emblem of the World Health Organisation, or(b)the designation “World Health Organisation” or an abbreviation of that designation.

3. Penalties

A person who contravenes a provision of section 1, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding two hundred penalty units, and shall forfeit to the R…
