Judgement

J U D G M E N T

The Plaintiffs are in Court challenging both their interdiction and eventual dismissal by the Defendant from its employment. On 7th October, 2009, the Plaintiffs wrote Exhibit “B” addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of APS/ATLAS. Exhibit “B” contains a number of grievances which are:

1. For sometime now salaries do not come regularly and through the banks as it the normal procedure…

2. The 10% of staff basic salary deducted from staff salary upon their own initiatives towards their leave is kept by management without releasing the monies to staff.

3. Management does not issue statement of accounts on the staff Provident Fund and staff have no knowledge about the amount under the fund and any demand for it is not honoured.

4. A welfare fund initiated by the staff had been proscribed because monies deducted from staff salaries are not remitted to the fund’s accounts and management is not prepared to give out those monies to the contributors.…
