JUDGMENT

On 28th November 2007, the Plaintiff caused a writ of summons and statement of claim to be issued against the Defendant claiming as follows:-

1. A declaration that his purported dismissal with loss of benefits from his employment with Defendant company which was communicated by the secretary of the Managing Director on or about 30th April 2007 was ultra vires, null and void and ought to be set aside or in the alternative, reinstatement of the Plaintiff.

2. Damages for unlawful dismissal.

3. Arrears of salary.

4. Interest on arrears of salary till date of payment.

5. Such further or other relief as may be just.

The Plaintiff avers in his statement of claim that he was employed by the Defendant in 1997 as a Data Entry Clerk and by dint of hard work he was promoted to the rank of a supervisor of the Data Entry and the Reception.
