J U D G M E N T 

The Petitioner a Ghanaian and the Respondent a South Korean were married under the Marriage Ordinance (Cap 127) on the 27th day of July, 2002 at  the High Court, Tema. After the marriage the parties cohabited at Community  11, Tema. The Respondent was then employed as a Captain of a fishing vessel  Gbese – 6. There is one issue of the marriage, a boy aged 10 years as at the date  of filing the petition on the 27th day of February, 2014. The Respondent travelled  out of the country in February, 2004 and has not been heard of since. 

Per the Petition, the Petitioner is praying the Court for the following reliefs: 

a. The Marriage between the Petitioner and the Respondent be dissolved in  accordance with the Matrimonial Causes Act, 1971, (Act 367). b. That the Respondent be made to pay maintenance for the only child of the  marriage from 2004.
