UZO IFEYINWA NDUKWE-ANYANWU, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the judgment of the Federal High Court sitting in Kano delivered on the 15th December, 2016 by Hon. Justice S. K. Idrissa.

The Appellant herein instituted the suit on 3rd November, 2016 under the Enforcement of Fundamental Rights Procedure Rules 2009 against the Respondents at the lower Court claiming the following reliefs:

1. A DECLARATION of this Honourable Court that the arrest and subsequent detention of the Applicant by the officers of the 1st Respondent from 3rd to 6th August 2016 at the instigation and prompting of the 2nd Respondent over civil transactions without reasonable suspicion of having committed any crime is against the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended and is not justified by any law and amounts to violation of the Applicants Fundamental Rights to Personal Liberty, Freedom of Movement, freedom of religion and the Applicant is therefore entitleā€¦
