AN ACT of Parliament to make better provision for the control of the profession of pharmacy and the trade in drugs and poisons

Part I – PRELIMINARY

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the Pharmacy and Poisons Act.

2. Interpretation

(1)In this Act, unless the context otherwise requiresβ€”"advertisement" includes a notice, circular, label wrapper or other document, and any announcement made orally or by means of producing or transmitting light or sound;"authorized officer" means the registrar, pharmaceutical analyst, pharmaceutical inspector, a medical officer, an inspector of drugs, an administrative officer or a police officer not below the rank of Superintendent;"authorized seller of poisons" means any person such as is referred to in section 24;"Board" means the Pharmacy and Poisons Board appointed under the provisions of s…
