Part I – PRELIMINARY

1. Short title

These Rules may be cited as the Small Claims Courts Rules.

2. Interpretation

In these Rules unless the context otherwise requires—"Adjudicator" means an adjudicator appointed under section 5 of the Act;"claimant" has the meaning assigned to it under section 2 of the Act;"creditor" means a person to whom a debtor is required to pay a sum of money which the Court finds to be due and payable to them;"Court" means the Small Claims Court established under section 4 of the Act;"debtor" means a person who owes a creditor a sum of money which the Court finds to be due and payab…
