AN ACT to provide for the protection of trade marks and for related matters.BE IT ENACTED by Parliament as follows

Part I – REGISTRATION OF TRADE MARKS

1. Meaning of a trademark.

(1)A "trademark" means a sign or combination of signs capable of distinguishing the goods or services of one undertaking from the goods and services of another undertaking.
(2)A trademark may consist of(a)words, personal names, designs, letters, colours, numerals, shapes, holograms, sounds or a combination of any of these elements, or(b)slogans, where they are not long enough to be protected by copyright.
(3)A reference in this Act to a trademark includes a reference to a collective mark or certification mark.…
