An Act of Parliament to make provision in relation to surveys and geographical names and the licensing of land surveyors, and for connected purposes

Part I – – PRELIMINARY

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the Survey Act.

2. Interpretation

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—"advanced electronic signature" means an electronic signature which is —(a)uniquely linked to the signatory;(b)capable of identifying the signatory;(c)created using means that the signatory may maintain under his or her sole control; and(d)linked to the data to which it relates in such a manner that any subsequent change to the data may be detectable.“Board” means the Land Surveyors’ Board established under section 7;“Director” means the Director of Surveys appointed under section 3;"electronic signature" means data in electronic for…
