AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE NATIONAL INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (NITDA) AND RELATED MATTERSENACTED by The National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

Part I – ESTABLISHMENT OF THE AGENCY

1. Establishment of the Agency

(1)There is established a body to be known as National Information Technology Development Agency (hereinafter in this Act referred to as β€œthe Agency”).
(2)The Agency shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal and may sue and be sued in its corporate name.

Part II – COMPOSITION OF THE GOVERNING BOARD POWERS AND FUNCTIONS

2. Establishment and membership of the Government Board

(1)There is established for the Agency a Governing Board (in this Act referred to as β€œthe Board”, which shall have overall control of the Agency.
