OBASEKI-ADEJUMO JCA (Delivering the Lead Judgment): This appeal is against the judgment delivered by the National and State House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal (Panel 1) on 18 September 2015 inrespect of petition No. NA/LEGH/EPT/L/S/23/2015, relating to Lagos Mainland Constituency II seat whereby the tribunal declared the 1st respondent as the winner of the House of Assembly elections conducted on 11 April 2015. The appellants as petitioners at the trial tribunal claimed the following reliefs: A declaration that 1st respondent being the candidate of the 2nd respondent in the election conducted by the 3rd respondent for the Lagos Mainland Constituency II of the Lagos State House Assembly on 11 April 2015 was not on the ballot and did not participate in the said election as the notice of the party primaries which produced the 1st respondent as a candidate of the 2nd respondent given by the 2nd respondent to the 3rd respondent fell short of the period of at least 21 days requi…
