The brief fact of the case before the trial court is that the service of the Respondent as a legal practitioner was retained by the Defendants/Appellants from 2006 till 2011 when further instructions to the Respondent were terminated by the Appellants.

The Application of the Respondent before the lower Court (see pages 50-51 of the Record of Appeal), was for Summary-Judgment on the primary claim of #17,163,000.00 as outstanding professional fees accruable to him from various instructions of the Appellants upon which a range of legal services were rendered by the Respondent. He further claimed an interest of 21% on the said sum.
