HABEEB ADEWALE OLUMUYIWA ABIRU, J.C.A.(Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal is against the judgment of the High Court of Gombe State sitting in its appellate Division in Suit No GM/66A/2014 delivered by Honorable Justices B. L. Iliya and S. Y. Abubakar on the 14th of September, 2015.

The matter leading up to this appeal was commenced in the Dongol Tal Area Court (hereinafter called the trial Court) by the Respondent against the Appellant and three other persons, Polom Algeta, Danjuma Algeta and Ibrahim Algeta and his claim was for the sharing of two farmlands, in Landogar and Sansani, that were inherited from their six common grandparents, Pidmana, Lashinthe, Kwalkwal, Layagan, Sanati and Kaka, who founded the two farmlands.
