CITY KING HOTEL & 2 ORS V. ROYAL TROPICANA HOTELS LTD

BOLOUKUROMO MOSES UGO, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal is from the 7th August 2020 judgment of the High Court of Kano State given by A.R.D. Muhammad J. in Suit No: K/25/15 in favour of the respondent as claimant against the appellants who were defendants in the case. Respondent, in paragraph 31 of his Further Amended Statement of claim, claimed “jointly and severally against the defendants for:

(1) The sum of N6,046,418 (Six Million and Forty-Six Thousand Four Hundred and Eighteen Naira) being money expended on advertisement on Radio and Television Adverts to promote and expose the services of the 1st defendant to the public and another sum of N300,000 (Three Hundred Thousand Naira) being the cost of two (2) safes bought for the 1st defendant.
