JAMILU YAMMAMA TUKUR, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the judgment of the Federal High Court Lagos Division in Suit No. FHC/L/CS/7A/2013 delivered on 22nd May 2015, by Honourable Justice M. B. Idris in favour of the 1st Respondent.

This Appeal is in point of fact the siemese twin of Appeal No. CA/L/1144/2015 CNOOC EXPLORATION AND PRODUCTION NIGERIA LTD and ORS v. NIGERIAN NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION 4 ORS.

The material facts of the case culminating in this Appeal have been elaborately rendered in the judgment in CA/L/1144/2015 and I do not therefore see the need of reproducing same here. Suffice it to say that the Appellants dissatisfied with the judgment of the lower Court appealed to this Court via a Notice of Appeal dated and filed 21st August 2015 (pages 742-746 of printed Record of Appeal) with four Grounds of Appeal.
